IAESTE Annual Activities
JUMP Conference (Early October):
IAESTE United States student members have the opportunity to compete for paid trips to the IAESTE International JUMP Conference. This is an international LC conference held each October in Europe. LCs from around the world meet to discuss common challenges and strategies. Currently, IAESTE United States provides three $750 travel grants for this event.

IAESTE Regional Local Committee Conferences (Early October):
An individual LC in each region hosts these conferences each fall. Hosts are elected during the conference for the next year. Conferences provide LCs and their members the opportunity to develop the skills and education needed to successfully run an LC. There are various workshops focusing on topics such as job-raising, leadership development, and reception. The conference also allows IAESTE members from the region to share experiences, network, and learn from each other. Finally, LC Regional Conferences give host LCs a chance to demonstrate organizational and leadership abilities while introducing attendees to their universities. IAESTE United States offers limited funding for transportation costs on a case-by-case basis. Faculty advisors are encouraged to attend this conference.

IAESTE United States National Conference (Early February):

IAESTE United States hosts a national conference with representatives from all IAESTE Local Committees and its professional membership. The conference, normally held in Baltimore during the second weekend in February, brings together members and corporate partners from across the country. Outgoing Presidents and Job-Raising Coordinators must attend the meeting and submit reports, but each LC should send as many people as possible. Incoming Presidents and Job-Raising Coordinators are strongly encouraged to attend, as well as faculty/staff advisors and general members. There is a meeting for all faculty/staff advisors. The conference is a great way for members to learn more about IAESTE, to attend sessions that will further develop career skills, to network with student and professional members from around the country and world, and to participate in fun activities that promote the IAESTE spirit. The conference includes sessions, workshops, speakers, the annual business meeting, and an awards banquet. For more information, please see the conference website at www.iaestenatlconf.org. Faculty advisors are strongly encouraged to attend this conference.

IAESTE Regional Retreat (Mid March):
The retreat provides a forum for Local Committee members to discuss issues affecting the operation of the Local Committees and to share best practices to prepare for the reception of international interns. The retreat is a relaxed and social event that builds social ties between the LCs. This event is typically for student members only.
